Top 6 Take On QUEEN

Top 6! QUEEN. Bicycle, bicyle!!!
Colton booted, Jessica is still hooking up with Heejoon.

Seacrest's Hair: Seacrest goes casual best tonight. A jacket and vest, but no tie (or clip), and he has the top 2 buttons unbuttoned, and not a lick of chest hair.
Speaking of hair, Ryan is going with the Rockabilly hairstyle, with the Mega Hold.

But he definitely needs a haircut, because the more it grows, the more he is starting to look like Johnny Cash as a dwarf.

The Judges:
J Lo is wearing an outfit made of gold foil, and plans on sending it in tomorrow.

Randy goes with the double breasted jean jacket, probably custom made. And he is wearing an incredible pin that says YO !
Yo, that is awesome.
Steven is wearing the usual nightgown and robe.

Colton got the boot last week. America got sick of his fohawk.

Tonight is QUEEN night! Should be a banger, but also a tough task for our Top 6. I like Queen, and the late Freddie Mercury has the most badass Tom Seleck mustache I’ve ever seen:

Jessica is up first and is singing “Bohemian Rhapsody.” She is dressed a little slutty for a 16 year old, but I don’t mind it.

She still seems shook from her scare 2 weeks ago. I don’t feel the same confidence. She still sang great, but she is scurrred…. and America can smell it.
Steven said rock wasn’t her forte, J Lo said her vocals were great but wanted more and Randy liked it and said ‘dude’ 3 times.

Skylar is singing “The Show Must Go On.” As soon as she starts singing, I can feel the energy I know she is going to rip the mic, and I get the confident vibe a lot more from her than from my little chiclet. Skylar was outstanding and I think that she is a great blend of country and rock. She is definitely one of the top singers left.

Steven said it was over the top, J LO GOT GOOSIES, and Randy said “She’s gotta have it” and that it was “phenomenal!”

Joshua is singing “Crazy little thing called love.” I’m not into Josh, but I thought his performance was awesome. He sang great and put his own touch on the song. The judges gave him a standing ovation, and Randy in particular loved him.
When they were showing his number, Josh left Seacrest hanging and it was hilarious!

Elise is singing “I Want it All” and she reminds of the Dr. Pepper rabbit.

But I gotta give it to her, her voice is unique and is made to sing a rock song like this. She  sounds powerful, but annoying at the same time. I also noticed they are attempting to put makeup over her mole to gain more votes. Steven used the phrase “over the top” again, and JLo and Randy can dig it too…  Elise is still in my bottom 3, and still barely smiles!

Phil Phil is singing “Fat Bottom Girls.”
It is dedicated to J Lo, because her ass is PHAT!

This is a great song for Phil and I like it that he doesn’t have his guitar tonight. Phil is my boy and was amazing last week, but this song, meh. But he is still my dog and has a cool style. Renowned Idolismologist Debbie T was quoted saying, “If Joe Cocker and Dave Matthews had a baby, it would be Phil Phil!” Haha, on the money.
I didn’t like Phil’s first song but know that he’ll make up for it in the second The judges thought it was good, but not much more.

Hollie is singing “Save Me.” She is wearing her Arizona Cardinals pant suit.

She is also a leprechaun that makes it rain with lucky charms! She repeats the line “SAVE ME” over and over again It got real annoying… Was she talking about getting the boot and begging them to use the save on her? They used it!
The judges were harsh on her. J Lo gave her constructive criticism with an intimidating strong Latina woman tone……. Hollie has been hanging by a thread, and the judges just lambasted her… America will surely listen this time and she is going home.

Round II:

Not a surprise Jessica has pretty nails.
She is singing Luther’s “Dance with my Father.”  She brought the heat more this song, but she definitely isn’t the same Jessica. She was good, but at this stage, good doesn’t cut it. She really needs to step it up even more next week, assuming she makes it.

The judges loved it and used the word tender a lot. It made my mouth water.

Skylar is thick boned, but Skylar remind reminds of a Popeyes biscuit on speed. Not sure where I got that from but it just made me want Popeyes!

Back to Skylar, she is singing a song about tattoos and is playing her guitar with her cowboy boots on. Solid second performance, but not as good as her first one. But I know she will sell records, whether she wins it or not.

Josh has a red popped collar leather jacket with a scarf inside. He is well equipped, and sings his ass off! Judges standing ovation and the audience was roaring.

I liked it too, but thought the first was better.

Elise did a lot of yelling in this song. I loved parts of it but also felt bullied at times. Her power is too much sometimes, and I can feel her bitchiness through her melodic notes. J Lo thought she slayed it but Steven said she should’ve picked a song people knew. Again, first was better. And all of a sudden, the guy in the band Elise is banging between songs, runs on the stage to hug her.

Of course Phil Phil does Dave Matthews! It’s him. It’s what he does. But he picked the wrong DMB song! He is a miniature clone of Dave and birthed out of the vein in his forehead, but did not do him justice tonight. He was still great and he is still safe, but it would’ve been so much better if he sang one of DMB’s many hits, rather than, as J Lo brilliantly called it, “artsy.” Artsy doesn’t get votes. Phil needs to spit out the granola.

Holl ball is the last of the night. She has nothing to lose because she knows she is the bottom feeder. Because of that, she did a very nice job in this performance.

It was astronomically better than her first song. But there is no way she sticks around; the judges critiqued her so much in the first song that America is brainwashed and she will probably be the one who gets the boot.

Tonight was easily one of the best shows of the season. No bs duets in between. Not as much beating around the bush tonight! Taking some tips from The Voice I guess.

But Idolisms is what truly rocks my world, especially tonight.

THE TIE CLIP

IT'S BACK!!!!!

IDOLISMS SPORTS THE TIE CLIP.

JUST DO IT

Top 7 Hit it Hard

It's the top 7 tonight. Amped? Idolisms is! (The color scheme used tonight will be ORANGE FOR THE FLYERS!)

The Judges

Steven is looking more and more like a reptile each week. It looks like he is reptiliously telling the audience to “holla if ya hear me!”

J Lo took off her incredible hulk glove and is now deliciously wrapped in ribbon from Party Land.

Randy is flossin', setting the new trend of the hybrid velvet leather sportscoat.

Seacrest’s hair
Looks like he changed products and he is now using a Pomade instead of the usual Aveda Firm Grip.  His tie clip is no longer there, which causes me to be uber bummed.

But it's no time to be bumming..... The top 7 are about to perform! And we’ve got some superstars in this bunch. Tonight they’re singing songs from the past 3 years. Or wait...... is it movie night?

Hilfiger lets them go through his panty drawers and pick out the most fantastic outfit they can find! He tells them to knock ‘em dead.

Akon is the mentor with Jimmy this week.

Let’s hope he doesn’t bodyslam any of the contestants off the stage! (if you don’t know what I’m referring to, see clip):

OUR TOP 7

Skylar
She is singing Kelly Pickler. She comes out playing the guitar, standing in the middle of kegs on fire…. ?

Skylar was great tonight… I feel like she had been floating under the radar, but the song tonight was perfect for her voice. Randy and J Lo loved it and said They really felt her from the soul. Steven broke out one of nutcase quotes, “The crows may crow, but the hens deliver the goods.”

Colton:
He is at the white Steinway piano, singing Skylar Greys “Love the way you lie.”

Immediately I think of Rhianna and Eminem’s Grammy hit and think Colton might be in trouble…. But Colton gets tender tonight! He sings it delicately and stamped it with his own mark. Steven said he didn’t even have to do overdubs. Randy broke out “IT WAS HOT!” J Lo had gotten up out of the chair and was now trying to get back in, but her booty was too big.

Jessica Sanchez:
She comes out sitting on top of the piano, all 80 pounds of her… singing “Stuttering.” She is my top contender and I’m expecting huge things from her, as always. Tonight she has got the glittery shoulder pad red bottom thang going on and she is amazing!

The judges all thought she slayed it; I did too, and she is easily my favorite in the competition.
My favorite part was when she broke out the scatting! The scat man always gets me…

Scoobie oobie doobie scoobie doobie melody

Josh
First off, tell me you don’t see the breath right strip…….

He is singing Bruno Mars, who fyi, has a gnarly pompadour!

I haven’t been too hot on Joshua recently, and saw him sniffing the boot… but tonight was solid and more upbeat, and I thought he did a nice job. Wasn’t sure why Steven was telling him to get one of the female dancers numbers, alluding to a possible sexual encounter? I’m pretty sure Joshua is gay…

not that there’s anything wrong with that… (Seinfeld)

Hollie:
She is singing the song “Perfect,” which is exactly what she has to be, to avoid getting the boot… It’s pretty obvious the past two weeks that America is not on Hollie’s boat right now.

Tonight, I liked it a lot how she took the unplugged approach, sitting down next to her hipster guitarist. But I definitely felt the urgency and actually felt bad for her because I knew that she knew she might very well be auditioning to be a highway Boot Patrol trooper. She is bland, with no flavor.
Randy and J Lo politely told her she sucked, but Steven said it wasn’t perfect for him at all and it kind of just "laid there." Owch!

Phil Phil:
Philly Philly! He is singing Maroon 5, and I didn’t like him tonight. I think Phil’s whole Dave Matthews schtick is getting to me. The best part of his performance was when the awesome blonde chick saxophonist came out… she rocked!!

The judges were on my page and didn’t love it either.
If Phil Phil is safe tomorrow night, he will most definitely will need to mix it up with something different next week... or he won’t be making it much further in this.

Elise
Elise is singing Gaga’s “You and I.” She starts by sitting at the piano, which I thought was cool, and like Hollie, I could feel the urgency in her voice. But she was much better than Hollie, and I hate to say this, but I liked her tonight! The judges liked it a lot too. Randy said DUDE, Elise is back! J Lo called her a closer, and Steven was busy sticking his lizard tongue out.
I still think she lands in the bottom 3 because of that bitchy attitude she had in the first month of the live shows…. or because of her mole.

WOW! I thought tonight was the best show of the season! A true banger. Let's just say, it rocked the world of IDOLISMS.

TOP 8 DO IT BIG

Well folks, after giving Heejoon the boot last week, we are now down to 8! It’s been a season of so much talent, and so much more to come. Tonight is 80’s night. I thought it was movie night, but am excited for this theme, being that I'm an 80’s baby, and I can remember kicking my mother’s belly, listening to Jeffrey Osborne’s “Carribean Queen." That was me dancing!

Judges

They always look good, and such easy targets to make fun of! We have Steven, looking like a gay manican with down syndrome. We then have J Lo wearing a hula skirt made out of strips of iguana skin. And Randy has got the patriotic polka dot thing going on and pulls it off because he is the dawg.

Seacrest’s Hair: He is going natural?? No gel! Or... not much gel. So a normal amount of gel. And he still has the unbelievable tie clip, yes! I also noticed he always has a different color queue card in his outer jacket pocket, which of course will be a new trend soon.
Here we have a warped pic of Ryan, making his dome piece look huge:

Guest mentor this week: Gwen Stefani, lead singer of No Doubt. No doubt, Gwen is fine! She is a gorgeous person with perfect lips.

Here is a pic of her and her band… People used to tell me I looked like their bassist, the guy in the red pants…. Lol

Jimmy is dressed as the usual douchebag on his on his way to the Yankees game.

THE TALENT:

Kris Humphries (Deandre): “I Like It” by Debarge.
Dear Kris,  Actually Kris, I don’t like it. And I don’t like you and want you gone. Your voice now irritates and I’d like to donate your hair to locks for love and give you a shoe horn to help you slip on his boot….. The judges thought it was exceptional! Ugh
LOOKS LIKE AN IDIOT

Elise: She’s been coming on strong as of late, but she has a big task at hand tonight. She is singing Foreigner’s “I Wanna know what Love is.” It was shaky in the beginning and throughout, but she grew on me as the song went on and I felt like I was in chapel. But I don’t love Elise, and never did.

Gwen steered her wrong, as pointed out by an esteemed colleague of mine. I think she is always a boot candidate, whether she has a bangin performance or not.
The judges didn’t feel it and I see a possible Doc Marten being slipped on.

A DUO NEXT?? This again? I really am not into this… Colton and Skylar are using up their voices before they perform for America’s votes! I’m not FF this time but I’m a little bitter Seacrest is allowing this to happen.

PHIL PHIL: Like this guy a lot! He is singing “That’s All” by Genesis. He was awesome, made it his own, and just stuck to his guns, which is what is most likeable about him… The judges liked it too.
But there is a sort of bad thing about Phil… The bulging forehead vein freaks me out, and I sometimes get worried that it will explode. It’s huge, but not as huge as this guys:

Josh: He needs to switch it up this week for me. He overdid it last week and wore out the good qualities about his voice. Tonight, he is singing  “If You Don’t know me By Now” by Cynthia Ray. He is wearing a hideous jacket that is embroidered with tire tracks, and it looks stupid as hell! So does his breath right strip, although the make up artist did a great job concealing it.
Josh’s voice is definitely great, but not fit to be the next American Idol. I wasn’t into the performance, but of course the judges gave it a standing o.

Jessica: She is singing “How Will I know” by Whitney Houston. Love it that she is taking on Whitney, and think she has the voice to pull it off. And she does! And looks cute in the baby gap jean jacket that she is borrowing from Jimmy.

And underneath it, she is wearing Jim the crossing guard uniform with the cool reflectors.

She is amazing and gets my vote. She is my valedictorian.
J Lo said her vocals made her not believe they were coming out of her body, Steven said her voice was fantastic and Randy said she did an amazing job… she did!

Hollie: This little blonde Irish gal landed in the bottom 3 for the first time last week, so she has a lot to prove! I still think she is great, but obviously America has some issues with her. Tonight, Hollie is “What A Feeling” from Flash Dance. What a great song! Makes me want to spank the planks…. But she decides to go with a poor attempt of white girl cornrows, and it entirely throws me off.

I started having visions like this:
 YIKKKKEEESSSS!!!!!!

Hollie is no longer a top tier competitor to me. I was in no way blown away by her vocals, and after seeing Phil and Jessica, she isn’t in the same league. I don’t think she will get the boot tomorrow, but just in case, instead of a Timberland, we got her a red bottom.

Colton: The dude with the badass moheezy (Mohawk)! He is singing “Time After Time.” Everyone knows this song, and if he nails it, I think he has officially won over America’s vote. He sings it in his own style, a style that I’ve grown to like, because of him. That emo/punk/blink 182 style. He also reminds me of previous Idol contestants. Like a David Cook with a hint of Adam Lambert and make a Bon Jovi sprinkle.

Like me, the judges dug it as well. Colton didn’t blow it out the roof but he is certainly still a safe stud.

Skylar: I like a girl who hunts! But she doesn’t actually need guns. She could be a pristine big buck deer hunter by using her gigantic ass as a weapon. She is singing Wings, and it’s a slightly different twist on the then her usual rowdy country crock Reba style. Although she still throws in the twang, and I liked her earrings. She is definitely a quality competitor, not my fave, but she has a huge voice and spunky personality. She is safe in my book.

As usual, what a night! These kids are legit. These judges are the truth. The host is the man! This blogger is………
